The Beverley Hospital

The Beverley Hospital in Team Valley is one of the region’s leading plastic and cosmetic surgery clinics. Led by specialists offering pioneering surgical technologies and techniques, it has built a strong reputation for excellent clinical care in a relaxed and welcoming setting.  

As such, it was essential that the hospital’s sterilisation, decontamination, and cleanliness standards matched the calibre of its clinical care.  

Approaching our sterile services team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, The Beverly wanted assurance on two fronts in particular:  

1. That full traceability was maintained throughout the decontamination process, so any product recall could be followed through from a patient safety perspective. 
2. That all of our equipment was suitable for the specific instrumentation they use, based on each manufacturer’s unique instructions. 

We worked closely with the team at The Beverley to scope exactly what they needed, and how we could meet it. This included:  

• Assessing all equipment, including its compatibility for the decontamination process. 
• Adding every item of equipment to our traceability system, so each one can be tracked throughout decontamination. 
• Etching individual instruments to support full, item-level traceability. 
• Providing training to the team on tray wrap techniques, for both efficiency and safety.  
• Beginning the processing of all equipment.  
• Maintaining close contact with the client throughout, to ensure a smooth ongoing service.  

In our first month of setting up these processes, we decontaminated 97 items for The Beverley Hospital – bringing the same NHS-regulated standards to the clinic that we apply across our own hospital departments, so their clients can feel safe and cared for.  

All equipment used for this client sits within the same strict internal auditing and regulatory framework as our NHS work – giving peace of mind and assurance.
