Director of Finance at QE Facilities Limited, he provides executive-level financial leadership and statutory responsibility, ensuring strong governance, compliant financial reporting and effective budget and revenue management. He supports delivery of corporate objectives through collaborative working with shareholder and partner organisations across the NHS and the wider regional health economy.
Before moving into healthcare services, Philip held senior roles at EDF Energy Renewables, leading financial planning, reporting and statutory audit activity across 92 entities, strengthening financial systems governance, and managing teams delivering month-end, consolidation and shareholder reporting. He also led the finance workstream on high-value transactions, including a minority stake disposal of operational windfarm projects generating £0.7bn of external investment, additional divestments of onshore wind assets, and an acquisition of renewable development opportunities.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership and consultancy roles at BT Global Services and BT South Tyneside, supporting complex bids, service transformations and a £67m council savings programme, and designing a budget-holder change programme that improved ownership and forecasting.
Philip holds an MA in International Financial Analysis, a first-class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, and is a PRINCE2 Practitioner. He has proudly contributed to his community through long-standing teaching and charity treasurer roles.
